Why Choose FWISD?
Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) is a nationally ranked college preparatory program. This academically rigorous program also focuses on social-emotional programming, community service, leadership development, and individualized college planning to prepare girls for lifelong learning and leadership.
YWLA students participate in a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum rooted in STEM and Visual Arts. All students take advanced courses in grades 6th-12th. As a result, 100% of our Girls Excelling in Math and Science (GEMS) graduate high school and gain acceptance into a four-year college or university.
Applicants will be required to attend a screening event scheduled by the campus. This includes an interview and writing assessment. Other documents necessary for the application process will be requested by the school. Find out more by visiting www.fwisd.org/choices
