Samantha Keaton

Mrs. Keaton is a native Texan from the Fort Worth area.  After graduating from Azle High School, she attended the University of Texas at Arlington and earned her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies (fancy words for teaching degree).  She started teaching in FWISD at South Hi Mount Elementary in 2007  where she taught math and science to 4th and 5th graders.  Mrs. Keaton is one of the inaugural teachers that helped open YWLA’s doors in 2010.  Mrs. Keaton’s passion lies in gossiping about dead people.  She has a unique storytelling approach to history that her 8th grade Social Studies classes enjoy.  Mrs. Keaton also teaches high school AVID courses and High School Student Leadership.  In her free time, Mrs. Keaton loves traveling with family to see and learn new things.
